These tests evaluate stool samples for the presence of infections such as bacterial and parasitic, yeast/fungus (e.g. Candida) overgrowth as well as a wide range of levels of beneficial gut bacteria.
The more advanced test also checks for inflammation markers and metabolic markers.
May benefit those:
This test checks for a protein called Zonulin which if found in high amounts in the gut, can denote that the gut is “leaky”.
May benefit those :
This test uses saliva samples to evaluate adrenal gland function and its fluctuation over the course of a day. It tests levels of cortisol and DHEA. These hormones influence carbohydrate, protein and lipid (fat) metabolism, thyroid function and help the body manage stress.
May benefit those:
A simple urine test that identifies the current rate of bone loss, risk of fracture and efficacy of any bone support therapies (natural or through medication such as HRT).
May benefit those:
Although the menopause is a normal part of a woman’s life, many experience discomfort before, during and after their menopause. Additionally many women in their 40’s, 50’s and beyond are at greater risk of developing osteoporosis and oestrogen sensitive cancers.
This test uses urine and four saliva samples to check:
a) breast cancer risk.
b) osteoporosis risk.
c) the levels of oestrogen and progesterone in the cells.
May benefit those women:
This urine test helps assess your risk for oestrogen-sensitive cancers including breast, uterine, cervical and even some forms of head and neck cancers. It is also a good general screening test for women between 20 and 50 years of age.
The test is called the Estronix 2/16 Hydroxyoestrogen Ratio test.
May benefit those women:
This test measures the monthly fluctuations in oestrogen and progesterone, which play a vital role in women’s hormonal health.
An insufficiency, excess or imbalance in the levels of these two hormones are the causal factors behind many women’s health problems. The test also checks levels of testosterone which also has an important role in hormonal health.
May benefit:
This test is not suitable for people on any hormones such as the contraceptive pill, HRT or natural progesterone. It cannot be done until three months after a miscarriage to allow hormones to settle down.
